LapseCloud works with any IP camera that supports scheduled FTP uploads. We recommend the Reolink 12MP series for the best image quality, with a minimum of 4MP. Other compatible brands include Hikvision, Dahua, Axis, and Mobotix. We can advise on the right camera for your site during onboarding.

You or your team installs the camera on site — it just needs power and a network connection. We handle the configuration for FTP upload to LapseCloud, connect it to your portal, and make sure daily sync is running correctly. The whole setup process typically takes under an hour remotely.

A hand-edited video is a professionally produced progress reel. We manually apply color correction, lens distortion correction, and deflicker processing to every frame for a clean, polished result. Delivered as a 1080p MP4. Does not include music, titles, subtitles, motion graphics, or After Effects compositing. Think of it as footage you'd show in a boardroom or to investors — not a raw automated export.

No. The 14-day free trial gives you full access to the portal, daily photo sync, and auto-generated time-lapses — but hand-edited videos are not included during the trial. Editing begins from day 15 once your plan is active.

Yes. You can upgrade to a higher plan at any time. Your existing archive, users and settings carry over automatically — nothing is lost. Billing is adjusted from the upgrade date.

All photos and videos are stored for the full lifetime of your project at no extra cost. After a project is complete, you can continue accessing the archive in your portal or request a full bulk download. We don't delete your data when a project wraps up.

Annual plans are billed as a single upfront payment covering 12 months — equivalent to paying for about 10 months and getting 2 free. Starter annual: $990/year ($82/mo, save $198). Growth annual: $1,990/year ($166/mo, save $398). Pro annual: $3,490/year ($291/mo, save $698). You can switch to annual at any renewal date.

You can cancel at any time — no penalty, no questions asked. Log into your PayPal account and navigate to your subscriptions or automatic payments section, find LapseCloud, and cancel. The exact menu path varies by country and account type, but is always found within your PayPal account settings. If you have any trouble, email us at info@lapsecloud.com and we'll cancel it for you immediately.

Yes. All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Access is role-based — each user only sees the projects they've been granted access to. Portal photos are served via authenticated signed URLs, not public links. We use Supabase for database and authentication, which follows industry-standard security practices.
